Reporting To Chief Technician
Key, Duties and Responsibilities
1. Generate reports, inventories and orders in the Unit;
2. Generate budgets and account for use of physical resources of the Unit;
3. Manage the use of laboratory equipment and facilities;
4. Requisition, maintain and account for financial and other resources;
5. Prepare and supervise students’ practicals;
6. Liaise with and provide support to the academic staff in the teaching of practicals;
7. Implement and maintain guidelines and regulations to ensure quality assurance, control and safety in unit.
8. Induct and mentor junior staff in the unit on technical skills;
9. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications: Honour’s Bachelor’s degree in Science Technology (Biological)
Tenure of Appointment 4-year Contract
Age Limit APPLICANTS SHOULD NOT EXCEED FIFTY-FIVE (55) YEARS OF AGE AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
