Job Overview:
Demonstrate baseline working knowledge of routine work applications; follow standard principles and use appropriate terminology associated with infrastructure networks.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. At least two (2) years working experience in a similar role.
3. Demonstrate practical IT skills in areas like Windows Server Operating Systems and Linux Server Operating Systems.
4. Professional qualifications in networking are an added advantage.
5. Must be willing to be called upon to serve during non-conventional working hours.
6. Must be a committed Christian.
Main duties & Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the Installation, configuration and maintenance of switching, routing equipment and other network devices.
2. Assist in the installation and maintenance of computer stations, wireless and wired networks.
3. Monitor networking equipment to ensure optimal performance.
4. Provide network support to users.
5. Troubleshoot network faults to resolution.
6. Performs routine updates to network equipment as through timely monitoring of IT equipment.
7. Evaluate and recommend security improvements and system upgrades.
8. Document all issues diagnosed and resolved for proper recording keeping and future reference.
9. Generate monthly status reports on network equipment.
10. Perform any other official duties as may be assigned by the Network Administrator or superiors.
