Responsible To Head of Department
Responsible For Risk Officers
Main Purpose of the Job
The Risk Manager will oversee the organizations comprehensive insurance and risk management program, assessing and identifying risks that could impede the reputation, safety, security, or financial success of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Identifying and analysing various risks (e.g. business, financial)
2. Developing risk management controls and contingency plans
3. Conduct assessments to define and analyse possible risks
4. Evaluate the gravity of each risk by considering its consequences
5. Audit processes and procedures
6. Develop risk management controls and systems
7. Design processes to eliminate or mitigate potential risks
8. Create contingency plans to manage crises
9. Evaluate existing policies and procedures to find weaknesses
10. Prepare reports and present recommendations
11. Help implement solutions and plans
12. Evaluate employees’ risk awareness and train them when necessary
13. Perform other duties as may be assigned
Person Specifications
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economic, and or Finance
• Certification in Risk Management will be an added advantage
Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Risk Management or Assurance function.

• Good accounting knowledge
• Knowledge of international financial reporting standards
• Good analytical skills
