Job Details:
To support clinical internal research projects at the Hospital in relation to patient care among others with specific outputs from the clinical research group.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Clinical internal research function.
• Support the medical team in developing internal clinical research projects.
• Update patient data and other research variables from source documents into the databases within target timelines
• Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output to ensure quality and completeness
• Participate in preliminary data analysis and writing of progress reports
• Filing and Electronic archiving of all patient related medical records.
• Work with the registration and records assistants to ensure accurate capture and updating of patients’ information and locator details
• Spiritual Ministry
• Participates in the hospital’s Spiritual Ministry programs.
• Occupation Health and Safety
• All staff are expected to work in such a way that does not cause injury to themselves, other staff members or customers.
• Following & complying with H&S policies, processes & applying them to their own work activities, including using/wearing Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Participating in activities directed at preventing harm & promoting well-being in the workplace Identifying, reporting & self-managing hazards where appropriate.
• Early and accurate reporting of incidents at work and raising issues of concern when identified.
• Other duties
• Other official related duties that may be assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements and other desirables:
• Degree in humanities or a related field from a reputable institution
• Computer literate and IT/data savvy
• Previous experience in research or data entry will be an added advantage
• Attention to detail
• Flexibility and willingness to work long hours
• Target driven
