Overview
Alive Medical Services laboratory is a level III laboratory with a vibrant quality system. AMS laboratory seeks a brilliant candidate to fill the post of Medical Laboratory Assistant. This position entails preparing for safety inspections, waste removal. This position also requires one to proficiently prepare samples for analytical testing and/or distribution of specimens to the proper analytical area, Accurately register, receive, process, and store biological specimens, such as blood, body fluid, and tissue, and accession them into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Job Duties:
1. Adherence to high technical standards and compliance with regulatory guidelines and adheres to strict protocols required for clinical testing.
2. Proficiently prepare samples for analytical testing and/or distribution of specimens to the proper analytical area,
3. Accurately register, receive, process, and store biological specimens, such as blood, body fluid, and tissue, and
4. Accession them into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
5. Preparation of stains and reagents.
6. Must be a self-motivated team player, being proactive, and able to work independently.
7. Must be analytical and possess excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
Position Requirements:
1. A Certificate in Medical or Bio-medical technology.
2. A minimum of one year or more of clinical experience in a busy clinical laboratory.
3. Must be flexible correctable and easy to guide.
4. Knowledge in or keenness on ISO15189, BioSafety BioSecurity, and Quality MS is preferable
5. Must qualify for or possess an Allied Health Professionals practicing License.
6. Have a high level of organizational skills including workspace and time management, as well as the ability to multi-task.
