Food for the Hungry (FH) is a Christian international relief and development organization with a vision to end all forms of poverty. FH globally currently has programs in 26 countries and support offices in the UK, Canada, Switzerland, South Korea, United States of America and Japan, FH that has been working in Uganda since 1989, with its head office in Kampala and operations in the districts of; Adjumani, kitgum, Lamwo, Kween, Mbale. Namutumba and Amudat Districts implementing programs in four main sectors of Education; Food Security and Livelihoods; Health & Nutrition and Disaster Risk Reduction with the Head office located in Kampala.

Job Title: Finance & Admin Officer
Position Type: Full Time National Staff
Location: Mbale
Reports to: Program Area Manager with dotted lines to the Regional Finance officer
Contract Length: 2 years (Fixed/Renewal)
Start Date: Immediate
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Regional Finance Officer, the Finance & Admin Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Cluster finance operations including preparing periodic financial reports, reconcile accounting information, review major payments 290 invoices for consistence with organizational procedures and established accounting formats, support project level procurement and performs administrative duties of the cluster. Additionally, this position Supervises the Cashier Stores, Guards, Office Attendants, Driver at Cluster/Field level

Responsibilities and duties:
Key Result #1 -Cash Management
Key Result #2 - Finance Management
Key Result #3 - Staff Supervision and Administration
Key Resuit #4 - Internal control Fixed asset and Inventory management
Key Result#5: Safely and compliance


Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance and accounting or related discipline from a recognized university or institution Having completed ACCA/CPA level is an added advantage / pursuing professional qualifications Minimum of 5years extensive experience in financial management and co-ordination preferably within an international NGO environment | Having an auditing background is an added advantage
Vibrant personal relationship with Christ, understands and applies FH Foundational Principles and Values, Vision and Purpose. Effectively and efficiently stagnates all resources
Strong Excel budgeting skills require.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels, and has proven success working in team environ merit.
Excellent computer skills in MS Word, excel, PowerPoint Access and Internet and accounting systems specifically Power Bi and Odoo System.

Language Skills
Proficiency in both written & spoken English is a Must, and knowledge of Lumasaaba is an added advantage.
