Roofings Group is the leading manufacturer of quality steel and plastic building products in East Africa. We are Currently seeking to recruit a highly motivated and competent person, with zeal to perform beyond expectations and excited to Join a (27) years leading steel manufacturer as a Forklift Driver.
Responsibilities
• Manoeuvre forklifts safely in a busy factory environment.
• Safely stack and unstack large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets.
• Move goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport.
• Unload deliveries and safely relocate the goods to their designated storage areas.
• Ensure that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions.
• Regularly check forklift equipment for faults or damages.
• Keep up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures.
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Required Qualification, Skills & Experience
• The ideal applicant must at least have a Uganda Certificate of Education.
• A minimum of 3 years proven experience as a forklift operator.
• Valid certification to operate forklifts.
• Valid class G driving licence.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Excellent physical condition.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Good organizational skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle strong pressure and work under supervision.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
